The Best Western Dower House is situated in the traditional market town of Knaresborough which has a wealth of history around every corner. Wander around the ancient walkways, cobbled alleyways and historic buildings before coming back to the hotel with it's history of it's own. Attractions in Knaresborough include the remains of it's 14th century castle and dungeons, Mother Shipton's cave, St John's Church which dates back to Norman times and the open air market which is every Wednesday.

If you like nothing better than to soak up the atmosphere and architecture of an area we're surrounded by historic places of interest to visit including Harewood House in Harewood near Leeds, Fountains Abbey, nr. Ripon and Castle Howard in Malton, near York.
